A Week of Creativity, Friendship, and Fun!
From Monday morning, young imaginations take centre stage! Across the week of Summer Shed, children will dream up ideas, learn songs, create dances, and build an unforgettable performance - all ready to share with family and friends on Friday afternoon.
Who is Summer Shed for?
Designed for ages 5-11 and in school years 1-6 in Sept 2026, Summer Shed is bursting with energy, led by Chickenshed’s brilliant team of professional theatre-makers. Whether they love singing, dancing, acting, or just having fun, every child has a place here.
Days and Times
Summer Shed runs all week, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Bookings are for the whole week and cannot be made for individual days. Summer Shed is £200 for the week.
Participants will need to bring a packed lunch and any snacks required for the day.

A summer theatre project for 11-17 year olds who are interested in sharing and developing a passion for writing, performance, movement and music.
Participants will be guided by Chickenshed’s Youth Theatre Directors and our current Youth Theatre members in devising, writing, choreographing and composing their own pieces of theatre throughout the week, in a fun and supportive environment.
Who is Summer Scratch for?
Summer Scratch is for young people age 11 to 17 who will be in school year 7 to 13 in September 2026
Days and Times

Stagecoach Summer Workshops
Monday 24th August - Friday 28th August 9am-5pm
Students split into age related group
Our specialist and DBS checked teachers of drama, dance and singing lead our holiday workshops.
Students work towards a musical theatre piece to perform for family and friends on the final afternoon. Students will study drama, dance and singing.
Students will require a packed lunch.
No previous experience is necessary, only energy and enthusiasm!
All students will be required to provide plain black shoes (jazz shoes or plimsols), black socks and a specific base layer that we will confirm nearer the time. This is required to go under the costumes that we will provide. For example, black leggings and a fitted black t-shirt.

Our first Summer Workshop date is officially here!
Join us at Jesus Church, Forty Hill for a fun-filled morning of music, movement, and memory-making with your little one. We'll be exploring real percussion instruments, singing our favourite Monkey Music songs, dancing, and enjoying lots of musical fun together!

Calling all little adventurers and magical beings!
Step into our living storybook for a magical outdoor adventure. Enjoy the Gardens like never before, where the Manor House Front Lawn and Fairy Forest will transform into a whimsical world of enchanted family fun.
Little explorers can enjoy a treasure hunt where our resident fairies have just been treated to new houses, front doors and other treehouse renovations. We have a special trail ready to help you find them all. Every hour we will have storytelling, guided craft workshops, face painting, and walk-around characters to provide crowd entertainment. Fancy dress is encouraged and there will be a prize for the best dressed – open to adults and children!
An ice cream van will be on the Front Lawn and we will have a food vendor on site. However, you are welcome to bring your own picnic and blanket to enjoy this outdoor garden event.
