We Want to Expand Our Community Patrol Routes
Our volunteers are already giving up their time to help support young people in the Enfield Town area, and we’re keen to build on this fantastic community initiative.
Our next goal is to expand our patrol further along Baker Street, towards the Hop Poles and Lancaster Road.
These are areas where we’d love to have a greater presence, particularly as the afternoons become darker during the winter months.
But we can only make this happen with the support of more local volunteers.
The more people who join us, the more streets we can cover and the more young people we can support.
Working Together to Support Community Safety
The Love Your Doorstep Community Patrol operates in partnership with Enfield Council’s Community Safety Team, bringing together local volunteers and community safety partners with a shared commitment to supporting young people and creating a safer, more welcoming environment.
Our approach is simple: prevention, reassurance and positive community engagement.
Our volunteers are not there to replace the police or other professional services. Their role is to provide a friendly, visible adult presence, build positive relationships and help young people feel supported as they make their way home.
It’s about people looking out for people, something that has always been at the heart of Love Your Doorstep.

You don’t need any previous experience to express an interest in joining our Community Patrol.
We’re looking for friendly, community-minded local people who care about Enfield and would like to make a positive difference.

Come Along on a Taster Patrol!
We understand that volunteering for something new can feel like a big commitment, which is why we’re inviting anyone interested to come along on a taster patrol.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet our lovely volunteers, see how the patrol works and get a feel for what’s involved before deciding whether you’d like to join us.
There’s no pressure, just an opportunity to find out more and see how you could help.
A Little of Your Time Could Make a Big Difference
At Love Your Doorstep, we’ve always believed in the power of local people coming together to make positive things happen.
Our Community Patrol is a wonderful example of that community spirit in action.
Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make a difference: a friendly face, a reassuring presence or knowing that someone is looking out for you.
As we head into winter, we’d love to grow our team and reach more of the streets where young people are travelling home from school.
But to make that happen, we need you!
